The North Brabant Museum will dedicate a major exhibition to the work of the Brueghel family in autumn 2023. For a long time, those who wanted to admire the world-famous works of the Brueghel family of painters up close were forced to travel to the world's greatest museums. However, the Noordbrabants Museum now offers a unique opportunity to view the best of five generations of Brueghel in a collection of eighty paintings and prints in the Netherlands under one roof. The Brueghels produced paintings admired for their witty compositions, universal messages and exceptional craftsmanship. Subjects range from festive weddings, well-known proverbs and stories from the Bible to awe-inspiring landscapes and studies of animals, insects and flowers.
